It is a very exciting time as we head towards National Volunteer Week (16-23 May 2022), a time to come together to celebrate volunteering. With 2022 also marking our 40th anniversary, this year’s celebrations, including our Annual Parade and Celebration in Victoria Square, is on track to be our biggest and best ever.

We are talking with volunteer involving organisations to ascertain current issues and concerns. Our Volunteering Matters Forum was held last month with over 80 participants sharing their valuable insights and experiences on the current state of volunteering here in SA. We are now busily collating this feedback and developing learning and development resources to support as many organisations and volunteers as we can.

Last week we said goodbye to a much respected colleague, Kym Cairns after 14 months as Team Leader for Volunteering NT. Based in Darwin Kym's passion for the volunteering sector was paramount as she led her team in leading, advancing, promoting and celebrating volunteering.
