    Celebrating Exceptional NT Volunteers - NT Volunteer of the Year Awards are now open!

    Volunteering brings many unexpected rewards, and for past winners in the NT Volunteer of the Year Awards, being publicly recognised for doing something that comes from the heart, and without expectations, is humbling. For thirteen years, these prestigious Awards have recognised the exceptional contribution of not only individual volunteers, but volunteer involving organisations, volunteering programs and volunteer managers, all working for the benefit of the community.

    Today we are excited to be launching the NT Volunteer of the Year Awards 2022. The Awards, in their thirteenth year are a highlight on the NT events calendar and are a fabulous way to recognise the outstanding contribution of the Northern Territory volunteers, volunteer involving organisations, corporate volunteering programs and volunteer managers at work in our community.

    Share your organisation’s needs and priorities through our Annual Survey to help us better understand any issues, so we can advocate on your behalf, and plan a better volunteering future. The current volunteering dollar replacement hourly figure for Australia is currently $46.62 per hour, and for SA $42.40, and NT $45.30.

    Vitality Magazine VNT Autumn 2022

    Annual publication highlighting amazing volunteer stories from the volunteering ecosystem in the Northern Territory. Each year the distribution will coincide with National Volunteer Week, and will focus on the changing theme. This edition's theme is Better Together and highlights the NT Volunteer of the Year Award winners from 2021.

This edition's theme is Better Together and not only celebrates our 40th Anniversary, but an exciting announcement of our first Ambassador, Ali Clarke.

    A week out from National Volunteer Week (NVW) 16-22 May 2022, and I want to pass on my sincere thank you and appreciation to every single South Australian who gives their time to volunteer. Although we thank our volunteers each and every day, we want to shout it from the rooftops this NVW. Our annual Volunteer Parade in Adelaide on Monday 16 May is looking to be our biggest and best ever and I am privileged to announce that our new Ambassador, Ali Clarke will be leading the Parade.

Although we thank our volunteers each and every day, we want to shout it from the rooftops this NVW. Our annual volunteer celebrations will be held in Alice Springs (18 May) and Darwin (20 May).
