    Volunteering SA&NT announces resignation of CEO, Evelyn O'Loughlin

    Volunteering SA&NT (VSA&NT) has today announced that Evelyn O'Loughlin has advised of her intention to resign as CEO of VSA&NT, effective 16 July 2021. Volunteering SA&NT Chairperson Ann-Marie Chamberlain recognised the impact Ms O’Loughlin has had on the organisation and the Volunteer Sector over the twelve and a half years whilst in the role.

    As from yesterday, changed funding arrangements for the new Volunteer Management Activity (VMA) has commenced with State and Territory volunteering peak bodies. The new five year model will focus on developing and implementing strategies to build the capacity of volunteer involving organisations. Initiatives include online volunteer management services, and breaking down barriers to volunteering for identified priority groups (people with disability; First Nation peoples and newly arrived migrants).

    Colour your community red - say ‘thank you’ to our volunteers - media release NT

    Let's join together to Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine. volunteering, and thank all Northern Territory volunteers for what they do each and every day in the community. The National Volunteer Week (17-23 May 2021) theme acknowledges now is the time to Recognise, celebrate and thank volunteers for the vital role they play in our lives. To Reconnect to what is important by giving time to help ourselves and others, and to Reimagine volunteering and how we can all better support volunteers. Last year, a new online campaign ‘Colour Your Community Red’ was launched which gave everyone a chance to show their support and appreciation to volunteers by tying something red outside of their homes or offices.
