Training

We provide free and low cost training for volunteers, volunteer managers/co-ordinators and volunteering-involving organisations. Sessions are interesting, informative and inspiring and offer straightforward suggestions for dealing with all matters volunteering.

Training takes the form of two to three hour sessions, longer workshops, full or half day forums and multiple day conferences. We can meet all of your professional development needs.

Training is conducted by qualified and experienced presenters in a friendly and interactive way that encourages discussion, information sharing and skill development.

Sessions cover general topics on volunteering and volunteer management as well as mentoring, grant writing, communication, effective recruitment and governance. Sessions are designed to cater for beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels.

There are lots of options available, including potentially partnering with other organisations to reduce costs or referring you onto other service providers.

*NT NFP FORUM Travel Scholarships

If distance and budget are a deterrent to attending the Forum, organisers are offering five (5) scholarships to meet the costs of two nights’ accommodation and travel to and from Darwin. If you live in Katherine, including surrounding regions, Alice Springs (2 scholarships each) or Tennant Creek (1) you may be eligible to apply. Accommodation will be organised by the Committee and all travel arrangements must be confirmed by 28 March 2019 with receipts presented for reimbursement.

Eligible NPF organisations - annual turnover of less than $500,000
Please let us know In 300 words or less, who within your organisation deserves to attend.
