Volunteer Caretaker, Munbililla Campground (Tomato Island)

Parks and Wildlife, Northern Territory

A Campground Caretaker is required at Munbililla Campground from March/April 2021. Timing can be negotiated, but a three month placement is preferred. This is the lead up to peak visitor season and relatively busy compared with the quieter wet season months.

Volunteers need to be independent, experienced in campground hosting or caretaking and at-ease in remote areas. Air conditioned accommodation is provided and caretakers will receive a six month free campground pass to NT Parks and Reserves at the end of their placement.

Some duties include: mowing of lawn, daily clean of amenities, weed control and brush cutting fence lines and being a point of contact for visitors. Further details are provided in the position description available from Parks and Wildlife.

Previous experience as a Campground Caretaker is highly desirable. An interview and referee checks will be conducted. Parks and Wildlife will reimburse volunteers for the compulsory National Police Check and First Aid certificate.
