Volunteers play an important role at the National Trust NT enhancing our overall visitor experience at Myilly Point Heritage Precinct. We do not require special skills, just a positive attitude. We will provide training, guidance and support. We will give you the tools to provide visitors with factual, historical knowledge and heritage value about Myilly Point Heritage Precinct and the National Trust of Australia (NT).


Your assistance is required in supporting to implement and enhance National Trust of Australia (NT) programs, activities, events and operations.

Commitment

Regular - more than 6 months

Time Required

Shifts available: Mondays to Saturdays 10am -1pm Volunteer must be able to stay for the duration of the shift.

Training

Volunteer will be trained in giving tours to visitors whom visit the Myilly Point Heritage Precinct.

Requirements

  • Working with Children Check *

Must be able to participate in induction training and development programs.

Please Note:
* During the Covid-19 pandemics, organisations should be providing all necessary Covid-19 safety protection measures for volunteers following the advice of both the Sate or Territory Governments and the Federal Government. Your safety and wellbeing is your priority. Familiarise yourself with the most up-to-date requirements and advice from the Australian and NT and SA State Governments.
* As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).
* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
