Fauna Rescue of SA Inc is the largest wildlife rescue group in South Australia. The organisation commenced in 1988 with a small group of 10 keen individuals with an interest in Fauna and has grown to a membership of over 400 wildlife volunteers. Our ethos is to rescue, rehabilitate and, where possible, release wildlife back into their natural habitat.
As Resolution Officer, you will be responsible for receiving, assessing, investigating and responding to complaints or concerns from members of Fauna Rescue.
Reporting to the Chairperson, this role will facilitate our goal of best practice wildlife care and support our volunteers with any matters that may arise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving complaints and concerns
Investigating and assessing the complaint or concern raised
Identify and action immediate resolutions to protect the health and well-being of animals
Comply with legislation and Fauna Rescue's policies and procedures
Where appropriate, notify the relevant authorities, such as RSPCA or DEW
Prepare timely reports and responses to complaints or concerns
Facilitate accurate and consistent recording and reporting of matters and outcomes
Provide advice, guidance and referral to experienced carers where required
Maintain high standards of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Provide ongoing process improvements and policy updates
Experience in dispute resolution or complaint management
Demonstrated experience in animal care
Highly developed research, analytical and problem solving skills
Strong record of success achieving timely and appropriate outcomes
Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and DEW permit conditions
Strong written, verbal and record keeping skills
